Does Your Business Need A Website?
Well I hope so, but maybe not.
There are many types of business that will benefit from a website but not all of them. Ask yourself how a website could benefit your business.
Could a website convince people to use your services? Do people search the Internet to find your products or services? They probably do. If you sell only very cheap products like newspapers, chances are the people don’t search the Internet for a local retailer. But products just a few pounds more expensive are worth marketing online as proven recently by the address, www.pizza.com being sold for $2,600,000 (the address was originally bought for $20).
Here are a few more reasons why a website could be good for you:
- Show off what your business does to persuade people to take their custom to you.
- Provide contact information to let customers get in touch with you.
- Build customer loyalty. Get them to join a mailing list. Keep in touch with customers; give them updates on your services and stock.
- Show that you’re the best (even if you’re not). A good quality site gives the impression of a well organised business. If you’re competitors’ websites are very basic and unappealing, you can guess where customers will go. They might not even trust they will get what they order if a website looks neglected.
- Provide useful information and people will trust you. As well as showing you’re competent, it builds loyalty.
- Increase efficiency. Reduce labour costs with online ordering systems, customer support and many other automated services.
So not every business can benefit from a website, but the majority can. If you still can’t see any potential, it won’t hurt to ask us for possibilities. We might agree with you, but then again we might come up with something you never thought of.
